Analysis of financial account of balance of payments of the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the financial account of balance of payments since the mid-nineties to the present. Individual items of the financial account are decribed in the theoretical part. Subsequently the practical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of all partial items of the financial account. We will find out that foreign direct investments are stable source for capital imports. They have a lot of positive advantages, but we have to also point out the disadvantage of the decline of balance of the primary incomes. Portfolio investments are less stable and it´s appropriate to distinguish them to debt and equity securities. The thesis describes the connection among the items of the financial account (i.e. how the items had an impact on each other) as well. I will also simply debate on the mutual relations between exchange rate regime and composition of the financial account.

The importance of Japanese investment in the Czech Republic: current status, trends and pespectives

The aim of my thesis is to introduce the readers to the importance of Japanese investment in the Czech Republic as one of the most attractive countries in Central Europe. I have divided my thesis into 3 chapters. The first chapter is focused on the definition of foreign direct investment. I define their purpose and goals that investors want to achieve. In the second chapter I describe the development of Japanese investment in Central Europe, especially Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. In the last chapter, I describe Japanese investment in the Czech Republic. In thispart, i put emphasis on Japanese companies that are operating in the Czech Republic.

The external economic equilibrium of the Czech republic

This thesis focuses on the theoretical conception of the Balance of Payment, its method of adjustment and stress the development of the Czech republic's Balance of Payment in period 2000 -- 2010 via analytical-descriptive approach. It defines its basic terms practical relations within framework of the horizontal and vertical outlook. Thesis's Attention is spread out between status and flow quantity. Thesis is also consist of three boxes that contain a short profile of intertemporal approach to the Common Account, sustainability of investment position and excursion to the essential theories of foreign currency exchange rate that is related to the Balance of payment tight. The end is dedicated to the "traditional" indicators of external equilibrium of the Czech republic in pre-monetary crisis era and in the present.

Analysis of investment environment in the Czech republic

The thesis deals with the topic of the investment environment in the Czech Republic and its analysis that has to show if the Czech Republic is suitable for direct foreign investment -- from the view of foreign investors. At first, the thesis defines concepts of investment and trends that are spread from the global point of view -- this theoretical chapter is base for the practical analysis of the investment environment in the Czech Republic. The analysis is aimed to the finding of determinants that affect decisions of foreign investors -- these determinants are positive and negative. On the base of this analysis are formulated recommendations for the improving of the state of the investment environment.
